Can I fly after a hair transplant?
The short answer
Usually from day 14, if your clinic agrees.
Day by day
- Days 0–13Careful
Many people fly home a day or two after surgery, but check with your clinic first. On the plane: aisle seat, walk and flex your calves often, drink water, skip alcohol, wear a loose hat and keep your spray and medicines in your hand luggage. A painful, swollen leg or chest pain after a flight needs urgent care.
- From day 14Yes
Usually fine. Long flights after surgery still call for moving around and drinking water.
Not yet reviewed by a doctor — verify with your clinic.
